Wage Comps - MidAmerica Industrial Park
Earn millions more per year in this region by making an informed decision to locate your 100 employee facility at MidAmerica.

Data Collection

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), a part of the U.S. Department of Labor, collects and publishes a quarterly count of employment, establishments and wages reported by employers covering 98 percent of the U.S. jobs. The data is annualized and is available at the county, MSA, state and national levels by NACIS codes.

The intent in this section is to compare average annual wages for Mayes County, Oklahoma with other counties and surrounding states for various NAICS codes where data is available at the Mayes County level. It should be noted that BLS does not publish data where there is a chance of disclosing companies or company information. In many cases, rural county information is not always available.

The latest data that is available on the county level is from 2001 thru 2007. And, when estimated payroll cost savings compared to a MidAmerica location, data from 2007 is used.

Machinery Manufacturing: NAICS 333

Industries in the machinery manufacturing subsector create end products that apply mechanical force, for example, the application of gears and levers, to perform work. Some important processes for the manufacture of machinery are forging, stamping, bending, forming, and machining that is used to shape individual pieces of metal. Processes, such as welding and assembling are used to join separate parts together. Although these processes are similar to those used in metal fabricating establishments, machinery manufacturing is different because it typically employs multiple metal forming processes in manufacturing the various parts of the machine. Moreover, complex assembly operations are an inherent part of the production process.
